Interior Mirrors Buying Guide
The interior rearview mirror provides the driver's rear view through the back glass. Replacement is needed when the mirror falls from the windshield (the adhesive button detaches), the glass cracks, or electronic features fail.
What's included: the mirror assembly — auto-dim, compass, HomeLink (garage door transmitter), and map lights may be integrated depending on the original spec.
What's not included: the windshield mount button (the small flat button glued to the glass) — this is often re-used or purchased as a separate adhesive kit.
Matching: Verify your original's features. A base mirror (plain glass only) and a premium mirror (auto-dim, compass, HomeLink, camera display) are completely different assemblies even if they look similar from the front.
Adhesive: If the mirror has separated from the button, a windshield mirror adhesive kit is a low-cost repair. Apply in a warm (70°F+) environment and cure for several hours before attaching the mirror.
